Donal Scannell posted to YouTube a great piece he made for a TV show in the 90s called LastTV. He says:
A blast from the 90s! @Last TV was a great RTE 2 show made by Stopwatch TV who were very encouraging regarding ideas. The Singer & The Song was all about focusing on a songwriter and one of their songs. This one on Glen Hansard and The Seven Day Mile was shot in and around Glen’s Mother’s house in Dublin. Directed by Donal Scannell, Shot By Richard Kendrick. Produced by Susan Scannell, Mary Murphy and Tom Johnson.
Glen will be doing a taping for XM Radio’s “The Loft” show next Tuesday, May 8th. It will take place in New York City at The Living Room on 154 Ludlow and tape from 5:30 to 6:30 PM. If you live in the area and would like to attend we have a limited amount of space. We will reserve space for the first 30 people + a guest by emailing: howard@overcoatmgmt.
Another song and another video from Glen’s upcoming “Rhythm and Repose” June 19. “Love Don’t Leave Me Waiting” is the second single and video after “Philander” (down below). Tropical! You can order the song at Amazon & iTunes as well.
Glen’s pal Conor Masterson made this video for the first single from the upcoming record “Rhythm and Repose”. It’s called “Philander” and we are kind of blown away by both the song and video. Fantastic. See the story behind the video here at NPR’s All Songs Considered.
