7 & 8 March 2011 // Dublin, IE // Whelan’s

glenmarchwhelansticketOn March 7th & 8th, Glen performed 2 shows with Liam O’Maonlai and other (surprise!) Irish musicians at Whelan’s in Dublin. The cast of the The Commitments, who were preparing to celebrate their 20th anniversary with a short Irish tour this month (and are in stellar form!), took the stage for a few songs both nights as did Damien Rice and Christy Moore (Tuesday).

Since it turned out to be a sort of jam session, we don’t have a complete setlist right now, but if anyone who was there wants to try to write and send one along to us, that’d be grand! As for now, we’ll post videos that are out there already of The Commitments & Bob Dylan covers that Glen & Liam did together. Glen also performed Say It To Me Now and R.E.M.’s Hairshirt on Tuesday night as well as some new songs both nights. We have a loose policy to not post new, unreleased songs based on a request Glen made back during the 20th anniversary tour, so we still honor that until we hear differently, but they’ll go up when appropriate.
